Thundersnow strikes again!

Today Chris sent me out of the house alone with one assignment, no errands! No required time to be home, no need to "check in" or leave instructions of course as he's more than capable, just me time!

Well I started at Old Navy where I browsed for a FULL HOUR, even got to try things on, all without a toddler pulling at my leg or yanking clothes off the racks! Bought over $130 woth of clothes for all three of us for 4 cents, yes you read that right, after coupons, discounts, and store credit!

Then I curled up in a comfy chair at Barnes and Noble and read and skimmed all of these books! No interruptions, no listening to hear if someone was waking from his nap, just quiet!

Now? Now I'm excited to get home to my boys before the red-headed one goes to bed!

Christmas Colorado Style, Part 1

We spent this Christmas at my Dad's home in Colorado this year. The irony was we left a home with snow on the front yard, packed snow boots, hats, mittens, winter coats, etc., and it was warmer there than back home!

Here are just some of the highlights of our awesome family trip!

One of our earliest adventures was a family trip to a ceramic pottery painting studio.

As a special gift to me (as I LOVE this sort of thing, and I mean LOOOOOVE), Ethan's Grandpa took complete charge of the little Picaso and painted pottery with him.

(The closest our kid gets to a sweet is a ceramic one, [insert evil mom laugh here]}

I made a plate for Santa's cookies we'll use every Christmas.

We'll think of this fun time with family every time we put it out!

I think our smiles say it all! Great time, thanks Grandpa!

When Santa came early to our house...

This year, Santa heard (through the Elf on the Shelf, a reindeer, the guy at the mall) that we were going to be in Colorado for Christmas morning and understands that it's a $50 checked bag fee for us to bring gifts home from there! So what did the jolly man do? Surprised Ethan with an early Christmas morning at our house a few days ahead of all of the other good boys and girls!
