Seeing how much the boys loved their kitchen, I of course had to build out some cabinets.

I stole some lighting from our own kitchen.

The "cabinets" sort everything into their food groups.

There are cutlery and dishes to serve their creations.

Ethan's obsessed with putting on his hat, apron, and oven mitt EVERY time he "cooks".

Mess Free Painting!

The boys just got a Christmas gift in the mail from my Godmother, Aunt Rae. It was such a cool find, one I hadn't seen before, My First Crayola Doodle Mess Free Board.

Santa's Helper... or Christmas Jingle Writer

9 days until Christmas.

1 unassembled kitchen.

2 boys a-sleeping.

1 husband working.

1 mother a-drilling.

11th page of assembly directions.

2/3rds completed.

2 "extra" pieces found.

1 complete DISassembly.

1 reassembly started.

1 crying baby.

1 tending mommy.

1 sleeping baby.

7 more pieces drilled.

1 kitchen assembled.

2 unused screws found remaining.

3 hours later.

And 1 present ready for under the treeeeeeeeeee.

 

 

Crafts and Carols!

This was Ethan's first holiday day party at his Montessori charter school. First we made our Christmas wreath, which he proudly hung on our door we got home. I of course was on double duty and strapped Gavin on back so I could craft in the front.

Then the children encircled the Christmas tree for the lighting and sang carols they'd rehearsed for weeks to their parents. Jingle Bells, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and Ethan's favorite he's been practicing endlessly in the car, Let it Snow.

The older he gets, the greater my Christmas spirit grows!
