Christmas Morning 2012

So it's (late!) February 2013, if I don't write this now it will never happen. So relive the Christmas cheer and enjoy Ethan and Gavin's second Christmas together!

This was the first year Ethan understood and loved the idea of Santa. It was also the first year Gavin shared his big brother's excitement about toys. In fact, the only toys he was excited about most of the time, were the ones in big brother's hands!

The morning followed this sequence over and over. Ethan tried to open a gift while simultaneously guarding it from his brother's curious hands. I can hear him saying over and over, "Gavin. That's not available. Gavin. Gaviiiiiiiiiiiiin. It's not available. Sigh," just looking at these pictures again!

Santa brought Ethan's ONLY REQUEST, a police car with lights!!!

Spot the brunette blur in hot pursuit?

Hanging with Grandpa the salt dough ornament he made him.

Santa must have seen Gavin always go for Ethan's doctor kit from GG, so he got his very own!

There were many, many books (mostly about science, I need help in answering the never ending why's around here!), but there was one highlight.

A book with a recording of his Godmother Aunt Kate reading him the story! That has been a constant presence in our car on the drive to school. I feel like my sis Katelyn is riding with me I hear her voice so much!

Snuggles with Aunt Kate!

Notice the wardrobe change? Everyone was soo generous that after a good while of opening toys, Ethan asked to take a present break and eat his breakfast. Uh... Ok!

Back to the action!

Gavin's first very own vehicles!

Finally we were ready for our Christmas Day feast!

Great Grandpa prepared his traditional antipasti.

While Ethan donned his new chef attire to bring out some of the sweets!

Luckily they all made it to the table!

And, hey, at least it was still cold out when I wrote this ;)
